Introduction|引言

The traditional framework for analysing resource companies—centred on price and supply-demand dynamics—is becoming increasingly insufficient in certain strategic materials.

Once a material becomes embedded in discussions of supply chain resilience, industrial policy, and long-term strategic considerations, its valuation may not be fully explained by traditional market dynamics alone.

Titanium is one such material undergoing this transition.

From a resource perspective, titanium is not considered scarce. Publicly available data suggest that global titanium mineral reserves are substantial, with reserve lives extending across multiple decades. However, at the industrial level—particularly in high-performance titanium metal—supply remains relatively concentrated and geographically uneven.

This suggests a shift in analytical focus: from resource availability toward processing capability and supply chain positioning.
